About Dr. Louis Bourget
Dr. Bourget holds a PhD, along with two master’s degrees and 2 fellowships. He has studied around the world – including a fellowship in cleft lip and palate reconstruction and facial cosmetic surgery in France and a fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery from North Carolina USA. He studied at McGill University and his advanced maxillofacial training was done at Dalhousie University. Dr. Bourget is a member of numerous prestigious professional organizations, such as the European Craniofacial Society, and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He believes in always advancing his education and has also completed over 1200 continuing education courses.
Along with his international endeavors, Dr. Bourget also helps local causes as well. He spends some of his free time teaching members of the Canadian Ski Patrol first aid, and volunteers at the prison offering dental services to inmates.
As someone always ready to find a way to improve his practice; Dr. Bourget has been one of the first practices in Canada to introduce a medical scent service dog. This dog was trained to help reduce anxiety in his patients before proceeding to surgery.
